LOL. That's a mild understatent. You should see the work she does--seats are cake for her. Put it this way: I send my seats half way across the country because I go with the best.

Hey Go:

have a look at those seats I sent you. If they don't work, I can fab up a narrower seat for you. Of course, if the shape isn't to your liking, no harm.

--Chris

i do love the seats you make. i was thinking of ordering one, but jeremy wants me to show him how to make a fiberglass seat, so i figured this was a good opportunity to do it. he's been around the shop more and more lately :)
thank you for the offer chris!
btw, i ordered foam today. i'll call you once the seats get here for any specifics.

Re: 1969 cb350- Gumby Tinkerdeere

this is actually pretty deep, it's bleeding again.. i cut it at 10 o'clock last night, and it's almost 9 am now.

Re: 1969 cb350- Gumby Tinkerdeere

Then you need to get yourself to the doctor or ER and get it stitched and get some antibiotics.......

Hey, +1 on going to get that stitched, cleaned, and antibiotic-ed (that's a word, right?). You only have so much time before (about 6 hours) before they'll have to debreid it to get the wound to heal properly and the longer you wait, the more of a PITA it's going to be. I'm all for the tough guy crazy glue fixes, but if it won't stop reopening you're going to have a hell of a time healing something on parts of the hand where you're always fiddling and moving..like fingers. It's hard to diagnose via a phonecam pic though, so YMMV.

Just my $.02 - but I have been a paramedic for over 10 years, FWIW. Stitches will get you back in action earlier (and a current tetanus helps you avoid that not-so-sexy drooling lockjaw look). ;)

Re: 1969 cb350- Gumby Tinkerdeere

WTF happened? You need to take care if those hands! There's work to be done :)

Re: 1969 cb350- Gumby Tinkerdeere

my tetanus is up-to-date.

i was getting back to work on my seat after finishing that one for you, chris :p
i sort of wish i'd gone for stitches last night.

Re: 1969 cb350- Gumby Tinkerdeere

I've had worse wounds doing pretty dumb stuff in the garage. I've never gone for stitches--not that I recommend it. Most times, I just tape it up and keep working. But this is coming from the guy that broke his in two places and had a finger floating about for two days before I decided to go get an xray. I also set fire to the cast on accident whilst TIG welding :)

Did they have to re-break and set it, or do you still have a bit of a hitch in yer getalong?

Re: 1969 cb350- Gumby Tinkerdeere

it was swollen for almost a year. that ankle is slightly weaker, but it actually healed fine. sometimes it hurts when i kick the bike over, but no gimp!

Re: 1969 cb350- Gumby Tinkerdeere
