73 BMW R75/5

This is day 5 of a rain out here in central Va and I am going crazy. Yesterday I organized my parts and work station only to realize I have misplaced my service manual. Dead in the water. I am going to attempt to locate the book today. Meanwhile here are some pictures of parts and my new shop/ garage work space.

I swear moving boxes are selective about what they yield at the end of the journey... shame about the manual, hopefully it turns up.
Shop looks nice! I recognize the lift, got one just like it for Christmas myself.

Ok everyone, I got motivated today and put the engine back together. As far as I know all I need to do is install a battery and add fuel, fingers crossed...

Fun looking build. I just sold my 71 75/5 SWB a few months ago (Mama needed a new car). They are great to work on once you get used to their quirks. They definitely had their own way of doing things. Be prepared, the noise from the pushrods is LOUD. It sounds like something must be wrong. Something is wrong only if you *can't* hear them. They sorted that out on the /6's. Corbin actually makes a pretty good bolt on cafe style seat for these, and there are some guys on Ebay selling hard-shell seats. I'm in for the build.
Miss this old Bavarian lady:

Don't forget all the oils :)

Back together and sold to a friend of mine to continue the restoration. :) I need to concentrate on my Bonneville or summer is going to beat me to the finish line.
