How long did you leave the rear hoop? I've always been a it concerned about bottoming out and smacking all the tail end bit... battery, break, glass

Looks break though. Your fiberglass skills are up there, amazing for a first shot!

Not completely sure... I may have the dimensions somewhere... I took them when I was making the seat.. but the hoop end extends further than the apex of the tire. I saw the problem that FatherJon ran into and didn't want that. I've bounced the rear with my weight and can't get it to bottom... I guess a monster pot hole might make it hit but it'd only be the tire hitting the tray, which is solid 16 gauge steel and isn't going anywhere easily.

I'm new to fiberglass but not completely new to body work... so that helped. I am happy with how it turned out.

I dunno... it's really dang bright and is more visible than the boat anchor that was on there. Didn't know that it mattered as long as I had a Running light / brake light / turn signals.

Re: '74 CB360 cafe project - (Seat pad is complete)

Where did you get it?

Nice. that's what I have looked at also. What's the wire set up?

Easy... Turn-Turn-brake-ground and there's a resistor thats prewired to make the red lights into run / brake. Very simple to wire up.

Just to let everyone know...I had the pleasure of meeting Nate and his wife, yesterday evening. They are both fantastic people. This machine he has built is friggin awesome. The pics hes posted in no way do this 360 justice. You got to see it in person. He has done an absolutely amazing job. I am excited to see them again some time...(maybe the wife and I will drive over to see him Rockin w his band) Thanks for the hospitality Nate, and the pizza.

Hey Thanks for coming out, I learned something. Thanks for the compliments too, I'll definitely try to get the bike around to a few places next season for people to check out. We'll have to trailer our 360s to a good riding spot in the spring. :) (There are hardly any curves or hills in central Illinois... for those that don't know.)

That's awesome! Thanks for sharing that, man.

Hey Natedog (hehe),

When you got your tail light did you do something to it before you bent it, like heat it up at all? Mines pretty rigid and I'm not convinced that the double sided tape will stick to where I want to put it, which is on the seat hoop.

I actually have a zip tie on the ends to make sure that the tape doesn't have to do all the work. I was concerned with the same thing.

Re: '74 CB360 cafe project - (Seat pad is complete)

Ah! So you actually made a bracket for it. You did it out of what, 1/4 flat stock?

Re: '74 CB360 cafe project - (Seat pad is complete)

I think that it was 1/8" x 1/2" stock.

You can see it pretty good here.

Cool. I'm not sure if I'll do that because of clearance issues, although that's a clean set up. I already lost a light on a bump just going up and down my street from a similar placement.

It's the same arc as the hoop and I but be able to just zip tie to the hoop and be ok.

Got my rear sets from Durgam_K yesterday... All packed nice and professional. THe parts look great as you can see. I'll be trying my best to get them fitted to my bike this weekend while temps are up around 50... I'll get pics of things while working on it.
