Anyone got a BoreTech spring to measure?

Sorry bud my Boretechs are all being used at the moment. But, I am having touble understanding why the ebc's would be smaller diameter wire than stock?

I am too, unless there is a hardness or allow difference to account for it...but seems odd to me...

But it's longer... I'll probably buy the boretech...

cool ride

Better i think. Tach is hooked up... Gotta wait for a part to arrive next week before I can hook the speedo up. I can't find the hub part of the speedo gear box. Had to hit eBay up for one...mine original must have grown legs.

Is that a mechanical or electronic tach?

Mechanical. I just finished up wiring in the indicator LEDs...

Headlight and ignition are the only real draws on the charging system now.

I am probably going to ditch the electric start when I do the clutch springs and have the covers off the motor. I'm not using it much and my tiny battery cant really handle it more than a couple of cranks... Need to make up a starter plug.

Re: '74 CB360 cafe project - (The Green Meanie isn't quite finished yet!)

I got a spare starter plug ;) (surgery worked, got 2 finished today and going to make 2 more tomorrow ;D )
Starter clutch is opposite side to clutch though ???

I might just take you up on the starter plug, I'll ping you in a PM. Good deal on the surgery working well for you... that's awesome.

Duh, I know the starter clutch is on the other side. :D I meant when I take the time and break down the bike to do the clutch springs, I'll go ahead and do the other side... It's a time commitment thing.

Well the Bore-Tech shopping cart doesn't appear to be functional at the moment, so I went with the ECB springs.

Hey, I chose what I can get my cb360 oil covered hands on.

Re: '74 CB360 cafe project - (The Green Meanie isn't quite finished yet!)

I got the starter and starter clutch removed, the left side is ready for the starter plug from CrazyPJ and reassembly. I am swtiching to my spare stator while I am at it to see if charging is improved with it also. While I was at it yesterday, I removed the tail light bracket I fabricated and stripped the paint off and sanded and powder coated it. Much better looking now... My clutch springs are supposed to be here today, I'll get out after work today and swap out clutch springs. My missing speedometer gearbox part should be here today too. If the clutch spring replacement goes quickly, I'll get the speedometer hooked up tonight too. Should be back up and running by the weekend if USPS runs well for me this week.

Hey, if the confidence level on reliability is high after this round of mods, it was running pretty good save for the clutch slippage, I'm going to have to finally take a ride down 150 to Chambana so that we can get the bikes together for a photo op... 45min-1hr should not be too bad. I did that puttering around town the other day on it. Vibrates my feet more than anything... butt stays pretty comfortable surprisingly. My upholsterer must have chosen my foam wisely. I just need to remember to not bear my weight on my palms so much.

I'm looking to do Barber still, it's a little up in the air... Though at the moment. I will probably be flying down to visit my son in Pensacola one weekend in Oct. depends on his schedule though. I can't fully commit until he finds out what week is his duty week and I can schedule the trip.

I got the new clutch springs installed tonight. The speedo part won't be here until tomorrow, I'll knock that out after work tomorrow.

At the moment I have the stock carbs on... They are doing well... The mikunis are going to take some effort to tune properly... I have have had a shitty time with the ignition system. I have that sorted out okay now. (Though I still hope to go to electronic ignition when Pete gets the pamco one sorted out.)

It is actually a pretty easy swap back to the Mikuni carbs. I will give tuning them a proper go with some plug chops eventually. Maybe I'll save that for mid/late September. I don't have the energy right now. :)

Re: '74 CB360 cafe project - (The Green Meanie isn't quite finished yet!)
