74 CB360T Rookie Build

Pictures were sideways because they were WAY too big. Resize before uploading and they should be OK. Try to aim for under 1MB per pic. Yours were about eight times that.

Re: 74 CB360T Rookie Build

Hey thanks man.
Next question, im planning on a 2into1 exhaust with cl360 headers, 2in1 reducer, into 1 shorty(12-18") muffler. What is my minimum(ID) inlet needed on the muffler i buy. I want it to work, will send my carbs to crazypj when all parts are in place for adjustments. I found the style i want but the inlet id is 1 3/4"(seems small) , will it work?
Need to know soon btw, guy will not hold muffler for me.

Small diameter and long pipes are the way to go on this bike. Even 1.5" ID would be more than fine.

Ok my mind is blown Matt. Great write up on exhaust systems. Im not pretending to understand most of it but it was very interesting. Had no idea most custom bike builds ive seen have a good looking but a poorly functioning system haha.

Yeah... it's unfortunate, but a lot of the "look" a new builder is going for tends to be just a look. Performance is mainly an afterthought and the bikes we see today are a pretty far stretch from what a café racer is really meant to be.
