Thankyou sir! Here is what I posted yesterday about all that. Really, I just plain got way too much shit in the way to "frame mount" the thing like the functional old school racks were mounted.
Besides my bike having a suspension. To deal with. Most of the bikes on the Tobacco cards (inspiration) were hardtails. Making them much easier to frame mount. So, guessing their milk got churned to butter also.
Just overall, the full sized fenders seemed so naked and empty sticking out there. I couldnt help but feeling I needed to do something. To fill the space.
And please, quit writing your shit like you do. So many posts you make, I see in there you offer useful, usable info. Its just so hard to read I end up just skimming and then just give up on what you have to say. Rather than spending my time trying to decipher through all the BS misspellings. I dont get it.

Plastic arrived from iatethepeach, (thanks agian) Its perfect.
I shaped this one a bit differently...Its still growing on me. I may have to do a little more shaping work to it.
Ill try to get some better pics after bit. My neighbor down the street has a couple older gas pumps in front of his garage. Last night I noticed he got them wired up, so now the globes on top light...they are cool. I want to stop and introduce myself and see about getting a couple shots w them.

Oh absolutely. Im not afraid to admit. I made ALL the "beginners mistakes". From clubmans and chinese pods to crap shocks & tires. BEEN THERE, DONE THAT. LOL. However, after a bunch of reading, learning and education, gained solely from fellow DTTers. I was able to convert that knowledge into elbow grease, determined to "fix" the problem spots. Shes now both reliable and ridable. Completely capable of out performing my skill level as a rider. And still not your average "cookie cutter cafe" as far as her appearance goes. Although, (Im not sure thats a good thing as far as "pleasing the masses", is concerned but I really like her.)
