I didn't like my previous gauge setup so changed a few things...


New speedo w/idiot lights
New fabricated bracket
Replaced the headlight ears with something sturdier
Top tree chopped and re-powdercoated
Left/Right Controls powdercoated, engravings refilled flat red

Those headlight stays ........... Sweet They have that Italian kind of quality to them, sculpted.

Put the rest of the bits together, Benjie's Dolphin Tank/Seat Combo, timed, 3k tune-up, Exhaust etc..... She runs like a dream!!!

Overall, I am happy with the outcome of the project, considering this is my first bike, and build. There's some minor touching up to do. Little bits here and there, mostly cosmetic stuff. The paint needs some more work, which I will be speaking to my painter again shortly. I'm still waiting on front blinkers, OEM gaitors, and possibly rearsets. I'm also considering removing the baffle but I'm sure my neighbors won't be too happy.


I'll take better shots with my DSLR and a new video this weekend.

The bike looks great, man. Don't remove the baffle, Ipkiss has a beautiful exhaust note.

Emgo pods oiled with K&N filter oil
PD46C "lean burn" carbs
105 Keihin mains
stock E2349F needles in 2nd position from top (2nd leanest -- stock position!)
42 pilot jets (stock)
Idle Mixture Screws 2.5 turns out
float height ~14mm
67A Throttle valves (stock)
NGK D7EA spark plugs - stock gap.
Dyna S Ignition
Dyna 5 Ohm coils and wires (with non-resistor caps)
Timed statically to stock advance per Dyna S instructions

87 octane California Cheveron gasoline

just make sure you readjust your carbs if you pull the baffle

Ok i think you have different carbs then me. Ive got a 76 550k

Looks and sounds beautiful brother. That's some really serious detail work and time you put in. The finished product really makes it worth it huh?
