Do you have a 2 into 1 pipe in mind? If yes can you share who makes it ?
saw some on web around $270-300 that seemed ok, but still not sure about going that route, the parallels really have a good look. It's the mufflers that kill me. Loud as all hell, but I'm cool with it everywhere but the parking garage at work where no less then 15 cars go off both morning and evening

So I walk out this morning to go to work pull the cover off my bike and got all excited (almost like I forgot I did the work and it was a dream)

Then I got to thinking indicator cluster. I had a wing attitude the whole time going in, I had no idea what the bracket would look like when I got that giant block off.

Looks clean, I am happy and it felt so much more free riding without all that extra cluter in my periph.

Then I am sitting in traffic for minute and realize how easy and perfect this bracket is.

So I photoshopped this together and its sharp

Now I just need to get a good drill bit at just the right diameter, not sure when I am going after this as the wife just got back, but probably the next week or two, hopefully way less.

I am going to sand and fill the emblem holes on the side covers for now and paint them matte black or matte slate and keep the chrome contrast, I will post pics when I am done

It's hard for me with the electric I don't have any of the proper tools other than a wire cutter and electrical tape.
I dont think so.

Get a soldering gun or use connecters.

I really like your indicator position idea.

You soldered those wires, yes?

Bill
i know I should, just connected the wires and electric tapes the crap out of them. I think I am going to get connectors when I redo the instrument cluster

I am thinking that winter project season I would take the bike to a more scrambler appearance. I don't want the giant knobby tires, but the hybrid. I could find a skid plate to attach some way. Maybe raise the front fender up under the light. Headlight grill and 14" rear shocks. I am going to shave about 2" to the top of the seat foam following the same lines and use the old cover as a pattern template to make a new brown vinyl cover.

The pipes are where the creativity comes in, has anyone put high pipes on a gs450, could a set of Honda cl350 fabricated to fit. I am just wondering, i am still into the direction the bike is currently taking and may just add some of those elements

Forget that last post, I just looked at the bike again and it would look like garbage.

Hopefully will have the new indicator light setup next weekend. I will post pics of the progress

Then I am adding a black 2" race stripe with smaller black border lines

I just put Gaiters on my GS550e myself. Are those clamps keeping the bottom from rising up alright?
Yeah it's been awhile and all is good, gaiters look the same. I am 90% done and really really happy with this thing I can't classify)
I just need to have the brand new electrosport stator and R/R and also a Gel battery installed (no real issue other then I it's old and a good upgrade for a GS) and put the front emgo cowl in my basement on.

I have some brackets for rear turn signals at the bottom rear shockbolts and am just waiting for the lights to arrive Saturday.
