Does anybody know if I can just take off the TRAC system on this bike? I don't have it, and I don't think I want/need it. Thanks in advance :)

If you plan to run the stock calipers you will have the TRAC system "parts" but to be honest, I would size the stanchions and look for alternates that may be lighter, you could go a single disk setup and really lighten things up... what size wheel is up front now? I have a "Ninja" front end with all the proper goodies and a matching rear to boot.

It has a 16 inch front wheel. A single disc setup is a good idea. If i used the same master cylinder and a new brake hose to the right side caliper, do you think that would work, or does the master cylinder size have to change, too?

Master should be good, just rid the portion valve and left caliper/rotor if you have a friend with a good size lathe you could chuck that fork lower up and make it look like it never happened or go at it with hand tools and do the same with some grit.

I think I mentioned we were going to get a little four wheeler for the kids. Well, here it is. You should see the smile he has right now. My daughter is at the movies with mom, so she hasn't even seen it yet. Can't wait to see her smile, too :D Whats the first thing he does when he got it home? Modify it, of course ::) Bike bag added in front, and now a bag in the back to haul around tools. This guy cracks me up!

So, a lot has been done, but it really doesn't look like it. First off, I received the kick starter, and had to modify it and the brake pedal to work. It took some doing, but I got it right. Engine turns over fine and seems to have tons of compression. This was the first time I actually turned over the engine :) Brake pedal was shortened about 2-2 1/2 inches and moved inside a little, to. Good thing the pegs fold up, because I need to do that, too. Then I moved onto the sprockets. The one on the rear wheel is wider than the one on the engine. I started digging thru some old boxes, and came across a Suzuki GT380 engine sprocket (16T) the same thickness as the rear and it fit on the engine! Score. I have no idea what the gearing will be like, but I really don't care right now, I just want this thing on the road. I also found a brand new clutch cable (no idea where I got it) that should work on the engine, too. Another score. Then, the guy I bought the front brake assembly emailed me. Said it was going out tomorrow. I was kind of ticked off, because I bought it 6 days ago. But he made good, and is going to give me the left side caliper brackets for free. Another score. Then, the guy who is machining my custom top clamp said is going to be done by Friday. Another score. Then, I found a clutch perch from my GT380-with lever-that should work. Another score. Engine is bolted in the frame in two engine holes. I need to finish with the other two holes, but I think that can wait until after I get it started, which should be next week.

Does anybody have a spare air filter they are willing to part with? It's opening is huge, like 62mm or so. I can get specific measurements tomorrow.

It`s alive! Fired the beast up for the first time. I don`t have a throttle cable right now, so it was running with no help from me. Second kick, too. Woot woot! Kinda loud without a silencer  Got a notice that my tank has been shipped, and will arrive Thursday. That just made my day!

8) ;D ;)

Hey guys. Just a quick update today, no pics though. Front brake assenbly installed, and kick starter bent just a little more to clear brake lever.

The tank arrived yesterday. I have to say, I lucked out. The inside is spotless, and there are no dents. No rusting underneath either. All I have to do is find a cap and turn knob for the fuel cock for it to be complete. I'll keep the sweet paint job for now and worry about that next winter.

"InterHaaaa" No "Yamaceptor" might be it or just add the tuning forks before and aft of the stock badging.
