'86 Interceptor 2 smoke project

Hey guys. Since the kids are nearing the end of the school year, there has been a lot to do related with that. That along with all the extra activities the are in, too. Can't wait for summer to begin so we can do all the fun summer time stuff :) I have been pluggin along on the Interceptor, and have made a few leaps forward. Not that it is that important right now, but since I'm waiting for a few parts to arrive, I've been trying to figure out what type of headlight I would like to use. I have seen a few that I like, but they really cost too much (street fighter type). So, I had this one sitting around, and knew I had to use it (for cost reasons). Then it occurred to me that I would need some headlight brackets also. I was going through a few things, and found 2 GT380 muffler clamps that just happen to fit snugly on the forks. Sooooo, I started thinking about how I can use them, and this is what I came up with:

It's not quite done, but almost. Still need to make the other side.
And for all the guys that know what they are, I did a little morel mushroom hunting today and found this guy:

The hunt is still on for me. I find them at work. I also fish at work, and the crappie are in the beds. I`m gonna mix the two tomorrow night for dinner. And if I can find any, some wild leeks, too.

Tennessee is the deep south? Come on. Your like midway ;D I thought ya'll hunted for ginseng, not mushrooms? Well, maybe the magic ones

Well Tune-a, I found 6 more beauties, but ate them all with a steak dinner. They were huge this year. I've never seen shrooms so big. Must be from all the rain and cold weather. Too bad I didn't have enough to share :-\
On the bike front, I have made some progress. I have coming to me a stock front fairing. I also installed the throttle cable, air filter and other various little parts. I think today is a good day to try to start it up and see what happens. The exhaust is still not finished, but will be done soon. The exhaust looks pretty ghetto, but at least you can tell it was made and not bought. A little polishing and black header paint should do the trick to hide the ghettoness ::)

One of these: solo kits popped up on feebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/HONDA-VF750F-INTERCEPTOR-1984-SOLO-SEAT-COWL-WITH-SOME-MOUNTING-HARDWARE-RARE-/251942141889?hash=item3aa8ebffc1&vxp=mtr

Oh, I forgot to update ::) Got the bike running now. I think I'll go in early tomorrow and finish the exhaust so I can actually leave it running for more than 5 seconds. But it's a great feeling non the less.

I`m sure there is a tutorial to post a video on here, but I haven`t bothered to look. I was hoping someone could just guide me thru it. I am using photobucket.

Yes and yes. I have to pack the silencer, and I have some new exhaust gaskets on order. I think that`ll help. Plus, I have to plug the hole in the front part of the silencer ::)
