A little ZUKI representation...

i just noticed the black bomber with the apes in the background in the first pic.

Yeah I figured it had been embarrassed long enough. Time to turn it into what it has always dreamed to be...

I need to post up some more photos of the progress. I got the rolling chassis back together this weekend and put the motor in last night. I'm going to complete it in primer and get everything done including a shake down ride, then tear it down and paint it.

Brilliant restoration, same on the fly-past as well! Hoping to get a result like this with my GS850, although it'll probably be a rat for a while.

Sweet work - boingk

I would nut my drawers if I could get my GS1000 looking and tuned that well.

LOL - good one!

That 1000 should absolutely fly - I always wanted to to a 1000S Wes Cooley Replica. The race parts and mods for the 1000 motors are endless and the late model gixxer suspension parts are close to being bolt on.

two words though - Dyna Ignition. definitely one of the best performance modifications made.

What an amazing transformation! Great job and the video is great too. Bike sounds really good.

Great build! and good to see I'm not the only one stumbling along on a 550. Can I ask if you re-jetted those carbs for the pods and if so what with? Cheers 88.

Thanks man - I used 102.5 mains. Be very careful running these bikes lean. The piston crowns are very thin and you'll blow a hole in them very quick if your not careful.

Thanks for the prompt reply....I think it may be tooooo late for my pistons as the guy I got the bike off was running pods and standard jets. She has a mean back fire at the top end of most gears so its off with her head. What the heck rings and valve grind wouldn't hurt anyway. Again your bike is inspiring and the hawk in the back ground as well. MAN I JUST GOTTA GET THIS ONE DONE SO I CAN BUY MORE!
