well i clayed my engine today. i have never timed a twin before and tryed 3 times to get it right, finally i downloaded the manual : and got it sorted :-[
i shaved the head a little , i have 1mm clearance at the squish band of the head and have 2mm clearance between the piston and the valves when opening.
all seems fine in my books wont have any super compression but a little more then standard
about .004" per inch of bore so about .010" is good you use a feeler gauge to check .....and make sure the ring is squared in the bore you can use the piston to slide it square
