That bridge pic is amazing, how do you get such depth of color? I tried to get some shots of a local Christmas light display and all the colored lights just overexposed and washed out the color.

just came across a d70 body on craigslist. cracked lcd, 70 dollar fix. camera is 80 bucks. im thinking get it, fix lcd, buy a used 18-70 lens for around 100 bucks, and have a damn good camera to use and shoot with for a few years to come, until i can drop money on something better.

I wanted something small to take with me all the time and be able to change lenses mostly for long range shots of surfing, my friends racing their bikes at the track etc. I have an old Eos that I love but Its too big to carry around on vacation and I hate going through a million rolls of film to get 3 good shots.

Something I learned so far, is that it's not worth buying good dslr if it has a high shutter count if you are going to be shooting a lot. It's like car, once it reaches it max shutter count, it will need an overhaul which will cost you more then what the camera is worth. I can help you determine what is the shutter count on D70, just have the seller snap a pic and email to you, send me PM and I will gladly look it up for you.
