black & gold.

Trinda why not to a super deep purple. Most of the time it would come off as black but when the sun hit it the purple would show. extra black black cherry and gold. Just an idea.

the color I was thinking is just that. It's a german-only option on the 1991 VW "fire & ice" edition GTi called "dark violett" that I did a set of wheels I refinished with. This is the only picture that really captures the purple - otherwise it looks black, like you said:

We have a guy that does gold leaf, and that was an element I'm going to be using for sure.

He'll have a hard time with that. I'll always be a VW guy. the roots run deep when the mom drives a bug, brother drives an original rabbit, sister drives a jetta. My current piece of garbage is the sixth VW I've had. Besides, Jay, Wally, Slick, and Marc all drive VWs. Wally actually just got a MK4 and it looks just like mine.
