BMW Police Brick "Clair" K75 just got featured on INAZUMA!! up for sale

Re: BMW Police Brick "Clair" K75 finished Up for Sale

Because the original shock was meant for an extra 200 pounds and was so spongy the rear tire would smack the seat. It also had 30000 miles on it and was not adjustable. Suffice to say it was shit. The new shock had less than 1000 miles on it and is barely a year old. If you have a distaste for ninjas I apologize but I hope that answers your question.

It is a police model only made for them and was not sold in showrooms. I say brick because the k bikes nickname is the flying brick.

i was just pointing out that a hugely oversprung, short travel shock is not an upgrade
and giving you a heads up for when whoever buys the bike asks, what were you thinking ?

Re: BMW Police Brick "Clair" K75 finished Up for Sale

If you've never ridden the bike then I don't see how you can have any idea of the difference its made, so if you still feel the need to tell someone how to build a bike, go investigate someone else's bike, I'm not really interested in arguing experience vs. opinion.

Re: BMW Police Brick "Clair" K75 finished Up for Sale

dude the shock came off a bike with at least a 3 to 1 leverage ratio
the shock has about 1/2 the travel of the original
your bike is sitting on an almost even 1 to 1 leverage ratio
so unless you changed the spring (much lighter), AND increased the travel of the shock, along with changing the damping rates internally ..... I am just trying to help in my crude way
it is the wrong shock, way wrong, you don't know any better is why I spoke up
selling it on ebay saying it is some kinda upgrade is a fucking joke

Re: BMW Police Brick "Clair" K75 FEATURED on INAZUMA!! link inside UP4SALE

^^I did change the compression and rebound damping and also the preload, the spring is also a lighter one than what is found on the original shock. The original bike was a 600 pound touring bike and it is now nimble, sporty and enjoys cornering, unlike before. A stiffer shock was needed.
