Rad man.. I hadnt seen your bike for a while! looks good. I just remember being cramped on El' Macho Borracho after being in the saddle for a while. And the frames are the same size. Also, keep in mind that I'm building the bike I will be commuting on, day in and day out next summer (the wife takes over my truck, cranks up some Honkey Tonk and hits the road, haha). I average a couple thousand miles a month, red lined on my bikes. Thats why I always sell'm at the end of the season and build another. Because they're spent,ka-poot, tired and done.... in need of another overhaul. I figure, that was fun. Whats next? haha

Found a pic of that sporty too... This is the closest thing I've found to what I'm shooting for. Only with a Bratt seat. Mine will be a bit dirtier version I suppose? I'm not using any new parts besides a chain, plugs and maybe grips?

I dig the flat seat rails Louie, odd enough, I think you and I have a similar taste when it comes to this style bike.

Ya... I just think it give it that sorta "Wild Ones" / Cheezie biker flick vibe ya know?

well this also helped me to start to really dig it... i cropped and added some light to the pic he posted so i could get a good look, after that it started to come togheter for me

I got my rear fender totally mountel and cut to length today. No pics... I'll get some up later.

I'd like it to have a super late 60's vibe, so I think I'm going to do the tank in panels. I messed around with the idea over a cigarette a bit. Never mind the colors or shape of the panel. As this was just for me to get a visual. I figured I'd mess with paint ideas before I stripped the tank

have to say i love everything about it, and you are right not cutting the frame! what you goin gto do with the gap between the tank and seat? that is the only thing that keeps grabbin my eye

Im not exactly sure yet. I've got a couple ideas... It has to go thats for sure!

I feel ya on that! after all it is your bike build what you dig man. to deal with the lower pan and foot possition i adjusted the angle, and moved my seat mout to the very back of the rails, since the tire is kicked out it allows for this.
you can see when the pan is lowered, in back like that how the pegs in the standard spot are good! i am very comfortable on mine and i am a big guy!

you can see there is plenty of room for the pegs and legs

Joe do you have a build thread on this bike ? hHow much did you strech that swing arm?

ya there is a build thread in the budget build for the arm... chris welded it up for me i think it was +4 or 5... i am going ot make a latace brace under it all the way around and then mount a hidden damper under there so i can run leaf spring suspension!

All I have done is order some bungs and various small needed items.

I think my wife bought me a tail light for x-mas, so that's pretty rad.
