*trumpet riff from War's low-rider*

I just finished an XS with the same tank, same foot controls, and same seat. Somebody explain this.

Pictures show him winning 10 grand at that show.... Who would buy this at $50,000? I don't understand.

Just gotta win five shows and you break even... You wouldn't understand a good investment if it rode by and gave you a splinter

Don't Bark at him...leaf him alone.. You are the root of the problem...

Still chasing this one? I don't understand what it is about this one that's off-putting or "offensive" to your fad. It's not advertised as a cafe racer, and unlike the central theme of this thread, it's not a simple amalgamation of Dime City catalog specials.

Overall the bike may not be that appealing, but it certainly looks like somebody's a proud craftsman. I wouldn't vote for this one, but I would spend some time looking at how it's done and the practical problems they inevitably solved.

It may not be your cup of apple-tini, but it certainly exudes soul and originality.

Respect a man for being so bold. Do you think you could have done so well? I believe it takes a sort of passion to do what he did, and isn't that what this hobby is about? It takes a real devotion to patiently handle something so delicate with white gloves and a light touch. There's no telling what it might involve to patch up a....tinder.....bender.... :-*

It's all flat sheet, so there really is no complex craftsmanship involved in that wood work. If those fenders were completely made from steam bent and/or formed wood, then maybe so. But it's not. Nothing but routered plywood. Woopty fucking doo. I put more into building crates to ship artwork. Don't make it more than it is- an overreaching, soulless bagger show bike.

Yep the only bends I see are near the seat, and that was probably done by laminating thin strips to a steel bar and not by bending.

Still interesting looking to me but a bit stupid.
One of these days I am going to build a wood inspired bike

That's the hipster price. If yesterday's DGR is any indication, they've gone the way of PBR.

The current trend I'm catching in my garage is the "brat" style. Firestones with 5" walls, and who needs a seat when you have the end of an oar?

I'm getting a Black Bomber on the road now, destined for those Firestones and fender removal. Too bad it's a first-year...

I mean, it's been up a while... I sold one yesterday in better shape for $600. I guess I should have asked 2k for a fucking moped.
