Well, there ya go. We won't argue with him here, but still... I've never made money on anything but a flip. The only way I've gotten near my money's worth is in trade, but that is such an arbitrary value.

He was concerned when he pulled the top end and found the ring gap spacing was off, like that matters. The only time the rings are spaced evenly is when you put them there, as soon as the motor runs they rotate in the grooves and it's not unusual to have them all lined up.

If you're gonna shoot the moon, i would think it best not to banter with the naysayers. Kinda lessens the credibility of the build when you are constantly defending it.

Rarely do you get what you want on a build. He is correct on parts costs, but why would I want a 175 when I could have a Busa for $9k. Just cause you spent it don't mean it's worth it. He's going to own it for some time.

I guess you can put a price on "love", but for $9k I'd rather have one of these:
