"Cafe Racer" such a loose term! Craigslist "Gem" of the week!

The 16 inch rear wheels are literally worthless.
Zero people want them, and even less want to pay money.

The 18 inch rear is hard to find.
That $95 rear wheel is 18 inch.

Yeah, but for a Harley.

The non GL Honda guys are really the top payers.
GL guys flat don't care.
Kawi guys will pay to dress up a Z1 from time to time.
BMW people also don't value cast wheels very much.

Very odd market.

May be a growing crop of GL buyers, Ive seen many highly modified ground pounders lately.

Many people have messed with GLs in the attempt to be "different"

Don't seem to be much interest in Lesters for them though.

Probably true. But not that it never happens... It's a motorcycle where anything is possible ;)

Sorry to show you that Eric

Randakk is the exception to the rule.
That bike also has real performance, not just playing dress up.

Like this:... Equally awesome IMO, just a different genre, I also like rock and roll, country, r&b, jazz, blue grass lol

Sooner or later even steak and lobster gets boring. Buy I do get the "playing dress up thing too:

Hard to justify Lesters when the spoke GL rims are so light. I haven't done weight-to-weight comparisons to an actual Lester, but the stock Kawasaki Lester-like rims are significantly weightier. The high shoulder aluminum GL hoops are significantly lighter than a lot of other aluminum hoops out there.

I have not weighed any of the Lesters I have used on bikes, but would assume alloy hooped wheels would be lighter.

For sure if handling is the main concern, but a heavy(r) bike with balanced mags and air ride is dreamy on the hywy 8)
