bless you father ,i have singed

Carpy has done a couple that look just like that bike with gold frames. It's a play on Black and Gold from some of the nicer Brit bikes, but they just had a touch of gold on the tank pinstripes not gaudy frames.

Some of us like gold wheels.

These have been kicking around a while. Look extremely rough

800 is steep, I would buy if they are not stuck and the price was lower.
Wouldn't we all on every bike? There's no ROI on those rough things unless just parting them out.

Hell no! a ran an add to buy bikes and would rarely take a free one, shut that down quick.. so many sketchy places here. I did get a nice motor and partial frame once for free that I took and it has a little ROI possibility ::)

I didn't say free bikes, we all know those cost the most. But would you not consider any bike you looked at more if it was in better shape and less money.? if not why even look at one.

that one front fender, the non bobbed one, there is a similar style for the early 305 superhawk, keep your eyes open for dem ;)
they are as good as if they were gold plated

Is this worth it for the motor?

I just got off the phone with the shop and they said they had it running, but it sat so it'll need a carb clean, battery, etc (which I already have). It came in as an insurance claim b/c of the toasted bodywork and the owner ended up asking them to sell it. After that one of the old mechanics was fixing it up to buy for himself but flaked out and never finished it. Just wondering if this seems like a good deal or not! I figure I can sell off the titled roller to make a bit of money back.

Definitely. 500 after DMV fees isn't bad, and you have the safety net of parting it out if you end up not building it. It's easily worth the 350 in parts alone.
I would pull the trigger on that.
I think even if you just pulled the motor you could still part the rest out and maybe even make some money.

I have a titled frame that I'm gonna swap to motor in, then I was gonna sell the titles roller. Just wasn't sure if I should be too worried about the 33k on the motor

I can't vouch for the lifespan on those motors, I've never owned one, maybe someone else can weigh in.
But, from a money stand point I would say you should be safe in knowing you can recoup your investment.

No back DMV fees if you're parting it out and keeping the motor, at least not to you. If all you want is the motor you're looking at a free one after parting the rest.

KBB is not $1535 for THAT one.
