I'd like to know how he shaved a stock CB750 tank down to raw aluminum.

To reduce manufacturing costs, they used to form steel around an aluminium plug. An old racer's trick is to shave the metal down to the aluminium in order to improve aerodynamics.

Only in Michigan... And north Dakota... And Wisconsin.... and Minnesooota

Haha, I wish all of my poorly painted steel tanks could magically turn into aluminum and buff out. I just can't believe I didn't know that all this time, aluminum was hiding under my tanks!I need to get started. I'll let you know how it goes. Us Minnesooootans work pretty hard so I bet I'll be into the aluminum in like 10 minutes.
