No it didn't. This is what was said about it's showing in the Championship:

"the fleet did not make a showy display, yet still won the 3rd place in the Manufacturer Cup for Domestic 150cc Open Group at its own pace and strategy. "

Flimsy stock rear swing arm turned into a mono shock. Ya that looks safe, like it won't fold into a pretzel on the first hard turn. ::)

The CL160 ad is a joke.
That bike is dual shock...

Doesn't change the fact that there's nothing triangulating the rear of the swing arm if both shocks are mounted at the pivot point.
I now see the shock set up and wonder, don't those shocks work backwards on that set up? When you bounce down the shock extends instead of compressing.

No clue what it's worth but I would love to have it

I saw a comparable one at the Springfield swap meet for 2k. I don't know if the one I saw was cheap or that one is high, but they are cool for sure

That's what I figure. I've never seen anything like it on a bike.

They do.

Same shock set up as the Harley Softails, though, not positioned the same. They are up underneath the bike on the softies.

Missed out on one of these for a couple bucks and a handshake a few years back. Still sour about it.

Those shocks are going to be more pivoting than extension/compression.

its actually somewhat simlar geography to those harley softail shock's original lashup, similar in that it uses an extension shock
but the swingarm has an incredible amout of leverage on them, like you say they will pivot but very little amount of actuall extension pull ,as they and the swingarm pivot ,which translates into an astronomical leverage ratio , i dont se how he keeps the frame off the floor and the tail section from fowllng the reat tar  ???
my only guess is the weight of the bike alone gets the shocks fully bottomed out ..er fully topped out with only
