Cafe Racer TV - Dime City's got the details..

35 year olds can't relive something they weren't even alive to experience in the first place. Thanks for telling us how to act though.

*sigh*.. I knew despite trying to make my point clear several times, it would be taken like this. At the event there were a lot of rock-a-billy types and they even had a live rock-a-billy band. The people were cool guys to share a beer with and the band was awesome. I have no problem with this sub culture, or any for that matter. All I'm saying is that if I'm going to watch a show called "cafe racer" I would like to see the balance of screen time tilted more towards the motorcycles than the reenactment of the culture. Its just like I would probably watch American Hot Rod if it was more about cars than about the silly drama in the shop.

So again, what I wrote was a sort of review of the show, not a comment on how someone acts or chooses to live their life.

the last sentence I wrote was referring to your last paragraph. Nobody is crying, as you put it, but it is frustrating like any subculture being dug up and popularized too much. I can understand your point however, I just think making encompassing demands is only gainful of criticism, which is what I did. No worries.

ah, I see. Well, I can see where the frustrations come from, and I understand those fears. But in the end there will still be cool motorcycles to work on and if you're a true enthusiast (and I'm not judging those who aren't.. not everyone who dabbles is going to be super passionate for life and that's ok..) you'll still be working on them after the hype fades. I don't mean to be harsh, but its getting old hearing "oh no, our hobby is getting too popular, the sky is falling!" And its not just here, but with any hobby, style, lifestyle, subculture, or whatever.
