Its very hard to finish a bike project after you've lost interest in it....
So... I went to fire up my 74 CB360 today after having lost interest and having it sit for 2-3 years. I've been powering through to get it finished to ride and most likely sell. I had trouble with the wiring last month and got help with that but now I found a new issue... I read somewhere that some 360's had a different wiring configuration in the starter control assembly having to do with ground vs hot connections. As you can see in this wiring schematic (unknown for which year), the starter button is grounded to make connection and the magical green/red wire is not connected to anything. I've read that that wire was for something on the European models and not used in the US market The 2nd pic is from the same schematic and is of the solenoid where Black is coming of it, which is supposed to be keyed hot. BUT in the next set of pics you can see I have the green/red wire on both the solenoid AND the starter button... the green/red wire from the R hand control is not connected to anything because the schematic I have shows it that way. I must have a different year/market R hand control.
So the question is this.... should the green/red wire off the start button be grounded to green or connected to black... or what? Everything else on this bike is wired to black keyed hot. What's the right answer here?
