cb 750 f2 78 cafe build

Nice! did you cut the frame or plan to re-torque the head? I didn't on the last two but used NOS OE gaskets and no leaks except the stator cover where the wire goes through, that needed shellac.

Still working on wiring harness .can't believe how long it's taking me to do it.got my new coils on and clocks today .

I may have a problem had bike running today just in garage.for about 5 mins oil pressure was OK at first .but when it got hot pressure dropped down to zero on gauge but when reved went back up to 20 .could it be because it was over heating .???

Sweet gauges yozz love the look guess they wasn't cheap and decent coils too , might change mine out at some point but don't want to jinks my electrics didn't enjoy that part of the build but once you get it done you are definitely on the home run . Not sure bout your oil mate is there a breather pipe just check that's ok and the right amount of oil mine did the same when I opened her up on a bit of a hill then went back to ok ,when I got back I had to top oil up guess it was just getting round everywhere and getting air out of the galleries still amazes me how hot these things run tho

Made a little video of the build so far thought I would share it https://youtu.be/9bhiINRTh6Q

Small up date the bolts that hold calipers on were in bad shape .I wanted the new ones to match the titanium bolts I've been using .but one of them is a special pin bolt so I ordered some over sized bolts and had them turned up on lathe .

stunning! in regards to the chain i would apply my new favorite axiom "When in doubt, black it out"

This thing looks the tits. Nice work.

I'd agree with doc on the chain, black over gold. Would sure look sharp if you could get one with silver plates though
