So we have new cam sprocket, cam tensioner bar, new rings, new plugs, new seals, honed and polished cylinders, cleaned valves and a nice new respray. Can't wait to put her in and Finnish it all up. It's taken 12 month to get this far since I started to tear her down.

So stupidly on a 30 degree day decided to put frame and engine together. So mistake number 1 the heat and number 2 scratching the crap out of the frame grrrr oh well have to get out the black nail polish to touch it up. Up side we have one engine in frame.

There is no harm in adding a filter, for me I think the petcock filter will be fine so I wont be adding extras ;D our fuel is pretty clean ;)

If you get some small specks of sand, rust, or grit through your larger filter in your petcock you may be taking your carbs back apart to clean them. I didn't run filters on my last bike, but will be from now on. If youre willing to pay a bit more Dime City Cycles has some really nice rebuildable glass filters that I feel look much better than any of those cheep plastic ones.

They do look good mate.

I have also ran in a hiccup that I need some help with guys. I am unsure how to keep the fuel cap pivot pin in. The others where fine as they where tight but as this one moves I'm not sure how to open/flatten the end so it stays locked in place.heres a few pics to show what I mean. Second is the pin first is just a shot of it all together.
Any suggestions ?
