I've seen it before, multiple times. Could be 10~20 yrs before anything gets done or it's all scrapped
 
MAYBE what Rocan learned is that NOTHING ever actually gets done on the web.

I bet he opened up a small shop and is just wrenching 24/7
Has no time for pictures or the web. Just solid "doing"

Or maybe he renounced all electronics and is living in the woods.

I started restoring a 1966 Ford Mustang when I was 17. Stuck at it good for a couple years then just ran out of steam. I hate that this one got so close and never made it though...

it was this thread that got me into this site in the first place, and yes, i have read it all the way through, though i never got to see the deleted 30 pages
so i gotta say a big thanks for dragging me in here in the beginning

For what it's worth, I can say for sure that young David has turned his attention to traveling and four wheeled machines. Namely the pair of BMW 2002s he now owns.
 
I guess we can 'go to town' here now,
