CB350 Triple 6

Very Cool!

The two spoon trick worked great to remove my needles (though I was surprised at how much force it took)

Any trick to pressing them back on?

Thanks, CC

CC I used some a drop of locktite and a very light squeeze (very light to much and it will crush it) on the little tube before I pushed them back on and tapped the with the rubberized handle on a screw driver. Mine were'nt that hard to get off?

I mounted my electrics under the seat pan. I will make a cover for them next. I'm planning on welding ths part of the seat to the frame, and then mounting the fairing and cushion something like Hotfunk did his. The Front end is getting the attention now, Then I will move on to the rear end. I wanna get Triple 6 on rubber before Jan is over.

Hey guys if your still interested in the guage faces they will $25 bucks a set shipped. That is for the tac and speedo for a 68 cb350. I already paid for the silk screen work so you only have to pay for each set made. Also if you want one made for another bike it will be the $25 plus $10 bucks for the silk screen, and you would have to ship me you original faces (face only not complete guage) to be duplicated. Colors I'm unsure of I never asked. You'll have to install yourself.

I can punch the holes for ya cb350 guys, get some use out of my punch set. Also you dont have to get both for u guys who run only one guage.

I recieved by Ebay headlight ears today nothing special really just what almost everyone else has in black. Mocked up my headlight bucket and it looks like I'm gonna have to machine some spacer. I'm thinking of using stock turn signals to keep the older bike look to it. I'm just gonna machine the mounts down about an inch in front and a bit more in back to bring them in closer to the bike. Anyone have a good lead on replacement lenses at a good price? Also need a shortened brake hose for the clip ons.

Sent you a PM.

Did some painting today. Gave on finding budget friendly spokes so I spent the afternoon wire wheeling each spoke and nipple clean then applied the first coat of epoxy paint. Wish it cured a little faster but it does pay off to wait on this paint. Seams very tough and shines real nice on the second coat.

Camera was not charged but took these today. JRK can I go ahead and assemble my wheel. I noticed that the paint is hard to the touch real quick. The gloss looks good on the spoke and nipples. I'm tryin to get her on wheels this week end. Thinking of wet sanding the bucket. It has small piece of something and it look like a chip when it fell off. Also what is your opinion on the can intructions saying you can recoat after 10 min but not after an hour, anyone done it like that?

Polished the hub.

Sprayed nipple and spoke after a good wire wheel session.

Strung the nipples on a piece of bailing wire and sprayed.

Heres what I have planned for Monday on my trip to the machine shop.

This is about stock length on OEM turn signals.

This is where they will mount after I cut and machine the mounts.

nice job polishing the hub. Take a lot of pictures when you are relacing, I am thinking of doing this, but am a little intimidated.

I don't mean to hijack, but since we're doing about the same low budget process on the wheels (polished hub, painted spokes, cleaned up rims) I thought I'd share a few pix of my front wheel.

It was my first time disassembling/lacing/truing a wheel, but it went pretty easy. There's lots of good info on the web to read about the process.

I made a simple truing jig out of some 2X4's.

Hey nice I was thinking of doing the same with the black centers to avoid polishing later on. I really wanted a lot of bling on the wheels but like you say I'm going low budget on the wheels. I cant find a decent set of fairly priced spokes anywhere. I contacted Buchanans and never got a reply but their cb450 spokes are 80+ a wheel so I dont think I'll be buying from them any time soon. I like you wheel truing jig will do the same for my wheel thanks CC.

man that looks awesome! ihave used jack stands to true wheels! they look great! really good man! nice!
