Been Around the Block
I was out of the country and I purchased a new Pamco Ignition for my CB350 as well as 3 Ohm Dyna coils. Apparently there was an issue with the Pamco Ignition, so my order was cancelled and it is not currently being sold.
I'm looking at the Dyna "S" electronic ignition. So my question is, is it ok to use 3 Ohm coils with it? I also upgraded my stator to one of Rick's high output ones. I also have the upgraded regulator/rectifier combo from Ricks.
Any opinions? Do you think I should put a resistor in the line?
Also, just to triple check. Right now I have the dyna coils hooked up and mounted, still running stock points. I haven't fired it up yet either, but this is how I have it wired:
12v accessory wire = 1 to each of the top ports on the dyna coil marked "+"
I then have the left points wire going to the left coil terminal on the bottom of the coil and the right to the right. That just seems way to simple, but I think it is correct.
Thanks -
