So I got some work done today! Took the front end apart and got rid of the old fork covers and ears. I put on the gaiters, head light brackets, and clip ons. Any Ideas to make the gaiters expand a little more? They look crushed.

Got some crush gaskets in the mail for my exhaust.

and some new rubber.

Any and all input and advice is welcomed.

I think it could use a pinstripe on the tank...black maybe.
Do you plan on keeping the all black theme ?

I would add a bit of color (oh god, did he really just say that!). Not a lot, murdered out looks just fine, but something along the lines of pinstripes or maybe a couple engine covers, or some polished engine bolts, anything to offset the entirety of the black. Unbeknownst to some, straight flat black will show imperfections, rust spots, grinding marks, bad weld, etc REALLY visibly. Also on those ground areas, hit it with a softback/flap disc/sandpaper disc (about 3$ from the auto store) and smooth em out a bit. Details, man, details! Bike looks good though, be nice to see the final product.

Yes trek97 It is going to be murdered out! I was thinking two gloss black stripes off to the side as well. We will see what comes out when I get the seat and tank painted.

Jewbacca I like where your head is at. I wanted to get all the screws and bolts glossy black with a few other parts as well but honestly I want no color on this bike. Black power!!! haha
Who knows as the build progresses I might go towards a color scheme.
Next on my list is to get my tires on and rims trued. maybe powder coat my rims.

Haha. I don't ever see any bikes that are murdered out and thats a big plus because I want this bike to be 100% different.. And also this bike fits my personality. I don't wear any bright colors I keep it to flat colors stuff like allsaints clothing. and I am in to Hardcore music. I have a real grunge look to my style and I want my bike to match that. Yeah those machines look very BEAST! but they are not cafe racers. so this bike is still one of a kind! 8) I think when It is all said and done it will look better than I picture it in my head.

I took some time today to prime and paint my pods and license plate taillight. Since I am going all black. I figured lets do these as well. ;D

Oh and I got a 8 gauge batter cable wire to put my battery under my hump.
Got it from Pepboys. Just in case anyone needs some too.
