CB360 Project: Lucky 7even! (still adding) SS brake lines June 17/11

Re: CB360 Project: Lucky 7even! (clip-ons finished up) Mar14/11

cafePete. the bike is killer. I read through the whole build and didn't see anything about what type of battery you're using and where you have it hidden. On another note, how do you like riding w/ those clipons?

Got sick of the spongy front brakes decided to search for a set of braided line, $77.00
shipped.
Big improvement.

Very nice !!! keep up the work. You got me thinking about my projects again. I have 3 360 CB that i kind of left them and its time to build.

Im kind of new to this how do you post the pictures?? thanks

dude, you are my hero, i saw your bike on pipeburn and then i registered for do the ton and read this whole build, i have just started on my own cb360 and i am super excited about it. if you could i would love to see your battery set up. im gonna build my own seat as well, but i am curious, how many sheets of fiberglass cloth did you use? and about how much resin did it take? i would love to see some pictures under the seat if possible. any way, i really really like your bike and i hope mine comes out half as good as yours. keep up the good work!

Thanks very much Jon!
Let me take a few photos this weekend of the battery set up. Also I believe I used 7-8 layers of glass, I'll check my notes and get back to you.
Thanks Peter

I would also love to see under the seat and the battery set up!!! Love the bike. Earlier someone asked if you had made a mold for the seat/tail? If you have I would be interested in buying one. Let me know. Working on my own CL360 project. Your bike is truly and inspiration!!! I was in Ontario last July, wish I could have stopped by to see it. Who knows, may be this year I'll bring mine out of the rocky mtns so we can ride! Thanks

Sorry, Pete. One more question... (for now). When you flared the rear of the frame did you put a loop back there to support the tail of the seat? Im thinking i will cut down the original loop and weld it in once I decide on a length. What do you think?

Thanks glad to hear shes inspiring! So as for the battery set up, nothing special located a small sealed battery( no starter just kick). Mounted the battery and other components ran the wires, tested to make sure all was good and tapped them up. :D a bit of spaghetti going on! but it works and it fits under the seat.

I don't have a mold...I've been using the pink foam so one off every time. I have made a few and plan on making a couple more when the weather warms up. If your still looking then I could add another to the list.
What part of Ontario were you visiting? Look me up if your ever in the Cambridge area.
Hope this helps.

No problem! I think the loop is a good idea. Most do when cutting down the rear section.
For the first 360 build I didn't add one as I kept the upper bracket. If I were to go back I would add one.
Thanks.

Thanks for the info, it really helps me to see pictures. I am going to weld in the rear loop and remove the upper mount for the seat. I think I will weld in a small cross bar to keep some of the lateral rigidity in the frame. Check out these batteries, Im thinking I can keep the starter and still get a 12 volt under the seat using the small 8 cell. A bit expensive but light and small. http://antigravitybatteries.com/ Hopefully it works, I have enough other bikes to kick start. Love the button!!!

What are you looking to get for the seat? I think I may try to build my own but I am not to much of an artist :)
I love your seat and think it really makes the bike. I plan on using the stock tank so it should fit nice. I was think about turning up the rear a bit so I could fit a strip of four wide by 2 high LED's under there for the brake light. Think you could make that work? About an inch or so in width. Thanks again.

Nice bike, I found it looking on google images and it came up. The two coolest parts of it to me are the rear fender and then the air filters which I want to ask you about. How well does it run with that setup, did you do any jetting, any mods besides the filters and radiator tubing, like a cross tube to join the two filters for balancing. I'm curious because I'm not a big fan of the oem ugmo boxes and all the cone filters seem to have probs and require a load of rejetting. I looked on K&N's website and they have a few other styles that I'm considering like the dual outlet filters. Just wanted to know what your experience is amigo, thanks. Here's a link to the K&N unversal filter page if anybody needs a visual.
