Re: CB360 mock up! Now the real work starts.

Cool look on the filter. I'm curious to see how it works out for you. One thing, Bob that front fender! It'll look like a fighter plane!!

Re: CB360 mock up! Now the real work starts.

the filter looks awesome, I just hope your left side carb will get equal air..

Re: CB360 mock up! Now the real work starts.

Thanks for the compliments guys, also worried about the equal air flow, I'll keep you posted on how it performs. ;D

Re: CB360 mock up! Now the real work starts.

Thanks for the bob fender idea, I'll have to pickup an extra fender and give it a try. Fighter plane! I like that. ;D

Re: CB360 mock up! Now the real work starts.

It was on the cover of this months classic motorcycle mag or something. Check a mag shop. I looked online, but couldnt find it.

Re: CB360 mock up! Now the real work starts.

Thanks for the tips crazypj, your right the seat is a little close to the tank, might have to do some adjustment.

Right on thanks. That looks really good! I tried to get to the metal shop before they closed yesterday, but no luck. My triple three doesnt have those mounting tabs...I didnt know yours was different. I think, since Im running clip ons, Im going to mount through one of my handlebar clamp holes.

What do you use to cut aluminum pieces so small? I always burn myself

Re: CB360 mock up! Now the real work starts. (Curbcast speedo pics are up)

Thanks, I use a dremel or hacksaw, the metal is soft,
your right is does get hot fast. Keep me updated on what
you come up with.
Thanks

use some wd-40 when cutting, I cut all my aluminum on a scroll saw or with a jig saw, and as long as you keep the cut line wet with the oil, it cuts like butter and doesn't get hot :)

Re: CB360 mock up! Now the real work starts. (Curbcast speedo pics are up)

Hey while were here. I see you dropped your front end? Is it just as easy as slipping the three down like you have on the fork tubes? In the photo you have your fork tubes butted up to your clubs.

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to find my jigsaw, is their a blade
that works better? Also your build is look great.

Curbcast,
all I did was place a car jack under the motor, jack it up until
it just rests on the motor, lossen the trees and slowly
lower the jack until you get it were you want.
Thanks

I've been trying to figure out how to do something like that. My bike has 4 carbs and one of those sticking out each side would be awesome. What is the piping and where did you get it?

Re: CB360 mock up! Now the real work starts. (Curbcast speedo pics are up)

I picked up the piping at home depot in the plumbing department, they are rubber, I think their called quick fix.

Re: CB360 mock up! Now the real work starts. (Still mocking up!)

Holy Shit.

That filter setup is the coolest mod I've ever seen to a 360. I am going to try and copy...To be completely blunt.

Thanks again for the seat! Still chugging away at the bike!

Wow! I'm also going to steal borrow the intake idea! That's the tits! I've also got four carbs and that look will be killer!
Excellent work thus far dude! I've got such a hard-on for those scrambler pipes! They just look great. Keep it up mate.

Hi cafePete

I like to say ur 360 is lookin pretty good. How do you like your clubmans? I bought a pair of dragbars for my bike and I am going to try some clubmans and compare the two and see which one fits my style.

I also am liking your exhaust pipes than what I have on my bike. Mine are side by side.

Did you make your seat or buy it?

Thanks

Dave

Thanks Dave,
I really do like the clubmans, I had a 2001 R6 for 6 years before the 360, so the clubmans are a nice change.
I also had the side by side at first, picked up a set of 350 pipes, cut them to fit and used the side by side mufflers, very happy with it.
I made the seat, alot easier the I first thought, $10 of foam,$20 of fiberglass and resin and alot of bondo. ;D
Also love the colour of your bike, did you paint it?
Peter
