Okay so I was wrong, I had the 120 secondary mains in the carbs and the plugs were pretty black, float levels were off but not by too much, set them back to 21mm. Those little metal prong things are annoying
Put the 115 jets back in that PJ drilled out when he had my carbs, back on the bike after hunting for a clip that came off. I started playing with the mix screws at two full turns out, then two and a half turns out from there seemed to be okay. Bike sounded better, so I took it around the block, still had some problems stopped at a light with the clutch pulled in. Sounded like it was firing on one cylinder again, throttle was slow to rise and sounded thick, but when I pulled into the parking lot again it sounded fine. Checked the spark at the plugs, looked beautiful, fat blue sparks on both sides, so definitely has to be gas. Planning on syncing and doing a plug chop tomorrow.
Also ordered new wheel bearings, get some tubes on the way to the shop and bring in the Metzelers I got from Chewy on this forum as well. 18x4.0 rear, 19x3.5 front, I know I'll be losing some performance from these sizes but for now they'll do to be tuning the bike, planning on getting some Shinkos or Avons eventually.
Another thing I was wondering, sometimes I'll hit my turn signals and they won't come on, or they'll be weak, is this probably just because the bike's not revving high enough and not charging? Rear LED brake/tail and blinkers, front standard blinkers
Goal is to get the bike running well before Saturday so I can take it on a canyon run with my mechanic and some other sportbike guys, the road is twisty enough so I might be able to embarrass some unsuspecting riders who can't wind up their inline 4 quick enough 8)
