Re: CB450 Café Racer Build. WHEELS
Last night I tore into the crank case, it was cool to get to see the gearing that is something I have not messed around with before. Everything looks really good in there, it is all tight and clean, no wear on anything. I might replace the crank/rod bearings if I can find a place to get them but they really dont look like they need it.
Here are some photos of the tear down:
I think I am just going to pull it all apart, clean everything, paint the case and reassemble with the new oil seals I got.
One UN-lucky bug, hahaha ;D (wonder how long it was in there)
So I ended the day when I broke the screwdriver tip on the plate at the bottom of the oil pan (didnt strip the screw, screw won and broke the screwdriver
). I figured that was a good sign that I should call it a night, the wife was calling also since it was around 11:00.
So I also got the valves out (I will post some pictures of that next) but I dont know how to remove the valve stem seals ??? ? Anyways I will be cleaning the valves tonight and would like to assemble it with my new seals as soon as I can. Also is there a preference on high-temp paint for the engine, and what is the most durable to gas and oil spills?
Thanks all
