haha, I've never done one...I'm usually too short! ;) Plus I never seem to have the money to ruin a tire!

I just noticed the hydraulic clutch on that 200. How did you do that with a "pull" clutch? I have been looking (not very hard) for a pull type slave cylinder. I have an in line cable replacement type that lacks power but like to know what you used and how you set it up. If you don't mind sharing the secret recipe.

Wow!! I was just thinking the same thing.. Do share the love! :) please.

For some odd reason, i dont get mail if this topic is written in..

About the clutch question;
Sure thing, but i think its described in the cb200 build thread aswell?

heres the thread:

edit;
Indeed, no clutch magic explained there.. What in particular do you want to know? I did the about same mod on my 550, wich is described here. dont understand what you mean with pull-clutch?

the cb200 clutch works with a cable wich actuates a disk with dents. theres a ring with 3 balls against it, and when you pull the clutch, the disk turns and the balls get pushed out of the dents, inwards. theres another ring against the other side of the balls and thats connected to the clutch.

parts 31 & 32 on the cmsnl.com website fiche. i made a new push rod and used a generic clutch slave. i also machined a alu ring to attach the slave to the engine and plugged the hole of the oem-cable adjuster with a bolt. thats (realy quicky explained) how i did it..

Are you only doing honda's?

No, not particular. But i know honda's and like the design a lot. engine and technical design that is. besides, they're cheap and quite easy to mod. Jene, my GF with the cb200, just bought an NX650 Dominator from '89 because she feels the 200 is too slow... ofcourse it has to be trackerized as well...
i will never get rest :p

i'm currenty working admission-wise on a cb500 1976, a cb650 1981, a cb550 1973 but there's always room for one more ;) or 2. or 3.
