CB750 Rear Cam Chain Tenioner Removal?

Hey gang. I'm in the middle of top end engine dissassembly on my 1980 cb750, and I'm trying to remove the cylinder head. My manual gives me good instructions on how to remove both cams by manipulation the cam chain tensioners to slacken so as to remove the cams. Done. After slowly removing all 12 head bolts and loosening the head, the only thing holding it down is the rear cam chain tensioner. I've removed both bolts from the rear of the engine, and she's loose, but the bolts dont want to fully retract into the cam chain tunnel so it can be removed. Ideas?

These are the two offending bolts, which are attached interior to the tensioner. The bottom one seems to be obstructed from receding all the way into the tunnel, and I've tried manipulating the crank-to-exh. cam chain to no avail. It's all loose, but the cylinder head won't come off without this piece removed first. Am I missing some Jesus-nut?

(btw, I must be a ra-tard...for the life of me i dont know why this photo is sideways)

Guilty as charged! Turns out that top strap with the two bolt holes in it is NOT attached to the actual tensioner that stays down in the cam tunnel. In fact, it just slips off with a slight upward tug. doh. Problem solved.

I hope this won't be charged against my "help!" account :)
