VFR750 pistons
From what I understand these will work with my 900F crank and 1100 rods.

So now on the hunt for 1100 rods....

4 valve rods and 2 valve head or do you have a piper 16V head that you forgot to tell us about?

The friend that i bought the bike from dug up some old pictures of it from before I owned it.
She really was close to the road and I was dumb to strip it down.....I have learned SSSSOOOOooooo much since then.
Hopefully one day this bike is done.

Im thinking about throwing a stockish motor in it just to the bike to the point of wiring and running

Well in an attempt to get my butt in gear my plan is now to put the stock motor in the bike to get it going and on the road.
after that V2 will be the full race yoshi motor that i have for a different bike and then V3 with monster.....but at this rate motorcycles might not even have wheels when i get there....lol

Got some cool carbs for this project.
I will be soda blasting and rebuilding them soon.
One of the chokes is broken but alittle JB should sort that....unless someone has a spare

Hope to have the motor painted and installed by next weekend

All blasted and washed.
Anyone have an extra chock knob? Or know of a good place to get rebuild gaskets?

Hey hows it going, Ive been following your thread and love what you have done so far!! Just wondering about the air tech gas tank and tail you got. Did they mount right up to your 1977 cb750f or did you have to do some work to put them on? it is a 1977 that you have right?

Steve :-\

My frame is a 76f
The rear of the frame was cut and shortened
You need to do this to use the K seat. Airtech now makes a F seat that is longer. Might be easier to mount that

AH HAH! Found 'em!

saw a pic of these carbs on the shout box. could you give a little background on them? like what are they and why are they special? aside from looking cool as all fucking hell, of course. were they used on anything bad ass back in the day? is it gonna be hard to mount them to your motor?

Did the tank mount up okay? great bike btw, love the look

Front of the tank mounts perfectly with the OEM rubbers
Rear needs a mount fabed.

Well they are mikuni Solex carbs, type Q. kinda rare as they are early Q carbs but really they are close to the latter ones. They are used OEM on BMW2002s and datsuns among others. basically they are Japanese versions of Webers. They are a little bit smaller and much lighter then webers. Webers are Italian coolness and used on all kinds of great cars.
These are mounted to a 70s one piece manifold. Webers and solex share the same mounts so the manifold can be used with either carb. A few people made manifolds for the CB750 such as RC engineering.

What either of these carbs offer is EXTREME tun ability. everything is adjustable.
IF you look at any drag bike back in the day they all had webers or solexs....some were fuel injected though. Some road racers used them but often they could not due to class restrictions.
In short they are kick ass carbs and were kinda a big deal

Where did you get your triple tree? and is that the air tech tank that has the bump and the bottom of rear of the tank or the flat?

Triple trees are stock
top was shaved and then powdercoated

The tank that i have is the one with out the rear sump
