CB750K7 Cafe Racer Build

Thanks guys. I've been invited to show the bike at The Bike Shed show 24th & 25th May at Tobacco Dock in London so if anyone is visiting please drop by and say hello.

Next bike is on the slab so we should be posting again soon.

Take care and ride safe.

Stafford International Classic Bike Show

Hagon Shocks were kind enough to have Lucille on their stand so if anyone saw her I'd appreciate any feedback. It'll help us make a better bike next time.

We were fortunate to have John Surtees MBE, OBE stop by and say a few kind words about the build but, perhaps more pointedly, he said "make sure you ride it - that's the most important thing after all"!

Legend. Thanks Mr. Surtees.

Any one fancy this festival in France?

http://caferacer-festival.fr/

We'll be there, sipping wine, eating cheese and talking ***t!

wow, what an awesome build!
hope mine turns out half as good as yours :D

Also I have to say, I love the way you write about the bike and everything around it.
Made me laugh alot!

hope to meet you someday at an event!
I'm from belgium so who knows I'll make it to the caferacer festival in france...

Hey koendd - glad you like it and thanks for the kind words. If you take your time and build what you want to build you'll know if it's right. If you get stuck there are plenty of people on this forum willing to help. Good luck.

That would be ex racer J Surtess the only man in history to win a 500cc M/C world championship AND an F1 World Championship.

Nice one Dr J

Yup, JS won the following titles:

1956 - 500cc - MV Augusta
1958 - 500cc - MV Augusta
1959 - 500cc - MV Augusta
1960 - 500cc - MV Auguata
1958 - 350cc - MV Augusta
1959 - 350cc - MV Augusta
1960 - 350cc - MV Augusta

1964 - F1 - Ferrari

I was lucky enough to listen to his stories for around an hour and I hardly drew breath. What a thoroughly decent, self effacing chap.

Imagine Marquez winning both MotoGP and Moto2 these days..........errr.....actually, he could but that ain't the point here.

Is that duct tape on his knee?

The choice of beverage is immaterial and may be substituted for beer, bourbon, etc., however, the Duct Tape is sacrosanct.
