CD250 cafe racer

Finished the pod clips this morning. Made a bracket from the pod, drilled a hole for the clips and welded onto the frame

Welded up ignition barrel and did some work on the tank. Cut the bung and the petcock nozzle and welded onto my new tank. Ran out of gas so still need to finish off the petcock.
Started on the exhaust. Making my own silencer so did some cuts on that. Will weld up sometime this week.

Home made mufflers. Need to find another mandrel bend

Hate paint stripping. One of the worst jobs

Started to bog and sand the frame, nothing much to show. A mate is starting to sandblast most of the parts. Starting to prep and mask things off ready for painting. Hopefully get a rolling chassis again in the next few weeks

Thanks. It's been fun working in the garage and coming up with solutions.

Hopefully il get sometime tonight to lay down some paint on the frame and various parts.

I'm liking the style of this ALOT. Do u mind divulging how you attached your seat cover to the pan? And is that aluminium you used for the pan?

Didn't end up using the alloy seat pan because it got too difficult to poke a hole in the leather at the right spot to line up with the rivet holes. I'm sure there's an easier way that I don't know about.

Seat pan out of wood instead and easily stretched leather over the top and tack with a hammer
