Thanks stogz. Sound like an interesting challenge. The funny thing is that none of this is terribly difficult. Just need a wiring diagram, a multimeter, and some patience, and time to map it all out for yourself. I found that investing some time and tracking down where the electrons went, was frustrating, yet worthwhile.

Seat pan build.

So I have finally decided on the type of seat I am working towards.

Plan is to create a padded brat style cross cafe seat. Brat on the front, padded cafe on the back. I like the classic cafe bubble on the back, but am not good enough with the fiberglass and too cheap to buy one to re-create that modern cafe look.

Following the steps provided by several members on DTT.

The tape is on the long side. Plan is to have the seat butt up with the cat eye tail light.

In the coming days, I will put on on or two layers to form the basic shape. Ten take into to the house (warmer) to apply 2or 3 more layers. I am 200+, so I need the layers to support my frame.

Ten I will pad with foam and use leather to create the look I want.

Seat getting upholstered!!! My lady let me take the padded pan home for a test ride. Works great!

Close to the end.

Also have a friend drawing up some cool graphics for the tank.
