just put the air back in the front forks it wont drag so bad lol

It has progressive springs up front, the air pump is in the for sale bucket as the rears leaked out so quickly. I only weigh 160# but I was thinking of putting one of these in place of the plug.

$81.51 on Ebay, yes on the two up. The fronts are fine, I put the same rear that I use on my cx builds as I just didn't want to spend the money then so when I do the tear down I will upgrade and use the current on another cx.

Doing some tweaking. I put my sandwich down the front of my jacket and rode to work. Upon arrival at work no sandwich, so sad. So with the removal of the air compressor I acquired some room to install the sandwich tray. While I was at it I wired in a USB charger so I can use my smart phone as a speedometer, when I figure out a suitable bracket.
Also removed and painted the rear fender semi gloss black.

Well I found a cell phone holder for my naked HTC phone. Connected to the charger so it won't go dead I have a speedometer and gps. It is pretty slick.

Any chance to have someone drive along to verify it's accurate?

Not yet but now I know that my daughter lives 1.898 miles away from us...

I have used similar apps on an iPhone with good luck. Allthough I believe the refresh rate on those is sometimes a few seconds so you only get a new reading every few seconds, which isn't great but usable. I believe they use gps so they should be pretty darn accurate, and I verified my app while driving to work in my car and running the application at the same time. Seemed spot on.

Took a ride with it in the car today and it is spot on. It refreshes every second, this is a slick deal. For $20 I could outfit another bike unless I need to get the usb port which costs another $20.

Yeah, the GPS in phones are pretty accurate. Can't be any worse than stock speeds. I may try and pick up a cheap phone to use on one of my bikes.

Wondering if the phone needs to be activated to function or will it run the application without service as it runs off satellites.

Works fine inactivated. I bought a cheap prepaid phone just to use for music and runkeeper and it works with the satellites.

Well it not only shields you from some wind but it also hides all the too long cables, double bonus.

I am really liking that fairing on the GL. I used a removable screen for touring but I would put one of those on permanent as it really looks good.

As I got another cx to put the older shocks on I bought a new set for this bike, much better ride.

What kind are those? Are they the progressives? or the no-name brand ebay? I have the no-names currently and they are alright but not great and my wife hates them I need to upgrade and wonder if the progressive brand would be better.
