Put away the wiring tools...all the wiring is complete. At least I think so, can't fully test the headlight until its running but its all wired up and now just waiting on paint.
Finished fitting the H4 bulb today. Honda dealer was able to get a 35/35W H4 bulb for me and only cost $5. ;D I cut the old bulb out of the lens and had to dremel the hole slightly larger to accomodate the H4. I then epoxied it into the hole. Hopefully it'll hold, if not I'll have to figure out another way to mount it. Reused the wiring off the back of the old light so I could use the connectors.
Thanks to everyone for helping with this dilemma.
Bulb cut out
New one epoxied in and I also use a bit of high temp silicone to ensure no moisture gets in
Yeah, not really sure what to expect. Either way I rarely ride in the dark so not a huge issue. As long as it helps me be seen during the day I'll be happy.
This is a Kreidler 2T racer from back in the day. The MB5 chassis is just waiting for this. Put me down for a kit!!!
Got to think about a rear set mock up too. I need to get back to my wiring on the 5 so I can finish it up.
Finally got the front fender fixed up and primed. Took a bit of work to fix the mold issues but still far easier than starting from scratch. Hopefully spray the colour soon.
Got a bit of painting done over the weekend. Finished up painting the front fender. Just need to give it a polish in a day or two and then get it mounted. Also got the gold sprayed on the tank, tail and oil cover. I'm hoping to spray the black this coming weekend. Had to install all the mounting rubbers on these parts so that I could install them as they'll be when complete, so the tank and oil cover would line up correctly. That way I can get the stripes to line up correctly over the parts.
Thanks. Got around to mounting the fender tonight. I tried to find some brass acorn nuts but couldn't find any small enough. Was hoping to use brass to tie in a bit of gold down there. Have some chrome ones I'll use in the meantime.
