Congrats Go! I hope I make it to meet Emmy Lou. And Mike, that sucks! I know exactly how you feel as I have not yet been able to make any of this years GTG at all. Congrats on the new job, hope it is a good one and you enjoy it.

Well that sucks, guess they wont even allow for "pre planned events?" Where I work it seems to be permissible depending.on how its approached. But hen again my wife and I have put off a 2 weeks cross country trip for 3 years now because of the same Crap. And im still not sure how my boss will reacts to finding out 75% of his day crew wont be at work during barber, lol...

Re: DO THE TON - Alabama October 2011

Thanks Mike. The job includes pretty much full access to a machine shop, possible world travel, better money, and way better benefits than I have now so Id say its an improvement. ;)

I'd say, and Barber will happen again next year. I just applied for a new job in the same city my wife has just taken a full time permanent job in and may end up in the same boat. I hope to negotiate the Barber dates if I get an interview etc. It also is more money and some possible world travel so I am kind of excited.

Man, you're just full of bad news today. Who's gonna get tanked and offer to sleep with some barnyard animals now? I'm not stepping up to that plate........

Congrats on scoring the awesome job. Barber will be there next year, and we will all be curious about what you have made in the shop/bought, in the meantime.

ATTENTION! DO THE TON will have a booth in the SWAP MEET at Barber's

Is anyone interested in bringing stuff to the swap meet to sell? Tim is awesome, and is working on getting a booth reserved in the swap meet area. So, who's interested?

Lol. Im sure by barber my wife will be really tired of me acting like my sat parade lap ticket is the most valuable thing I own. She's already threatened to frame it.

Are most people planning to go to the park on Sat/Sun? It seems like it is still cheaper to buy a 3 day pass even if you only go on Sat/Sun.

Re: ATTN: Anyone Going to Barber's

I'm working on it and should be able to confirm tomorrow (Monday). So start gathering your parts.

If this is gonna work, we'll need prices on everything and your initials or something on masking tape labels so whoever happens to be in the space selling parts can keep track of who's parts sold etc.

Whoever brings stuff to sell will have to of course spend some time attending the booth. Nobody will take any responsibility for anything that walks away on its own. If there are valuable items you want to sell, bring them and only set them out while you're there to sell them.

More details / ideas to come. The space includes a parking spot and camping option - so it may be that I park my truck/van there to stash the parts in overnight.

To all of you who may be on the fence about the parade lap, Do it, we had a blast last year! I am not even sure my bike will be back together before Barbers this year and I have my Sat. parade lap ticket! If i dont have a bike to ride, i will be donating my ticket to some other dtt'er who may have forgotten to get one. Mine was donated to me by the great Mr. Kemp last year. I have no problem returning the favor.

For some reason im getting paranoid that my bike will break down with something major that I can't afford to fix before barber and ill miss the parade lap... gotta get those thoughts out of my head!

3-day ticket bought and Saturday parade lap ticket bought! Also put in for time off. There is no turning back now. My bike will be done and I will be there along with Jordan (JSJamboree). We haven't worked out our travel plans yet but will be trailering the bikes down. I know I can easily fit 2 possibly a 3rd bike in the trailer.

Can't wait to finally meet some DTT'ers!
