"Drewski's h1a/750"

Re: "Drewski's h1a/750"

You are correct sir!
I will call him to morrow and see how things turn out ;)

"Drewski's h1a/750"

It's good news actually, when you point out it's not a correct stock, maybe you'll get it for less. ;)
The 400 has more cubes and you're a master with the die grinder to equal the 350 port specs.

One note though. To get the 400 jugs on, they would have had to bore the S2 cases for the larger diameter liners. Not so easy to convert back...

Re: "Drewski's h1a/750"

Well, 44 pages back and nearly 26 months since the last post...

... time to get back at it. ;)

Yup, we're back on. Some different bits to throw at it, but basically the same inspiration. :)

Re: "Drewski's h1a/750"

Hi Drew,
In one of your posts, you mentioned you were looking for painted fenders for your ride.
For 2016, we're offering fiberglass replica front and rear second generation (painted) fenders. We were able to procure the moulds from a company that used to restore H1's and built their own fenders when the used parts dried up.
Made in Canada, front $70.00 Canadian, rear $90.00 Canadian, $150.00 if you order the pair. Tax and shipping extra.
Neat Project you have there.

Thanks Pat! If I need a replacement or wanna go on a weight saving kick, I'll give you a shout pal. 8)

Now there's another twist. I have a guy wanting to buy this thing. Go figure. I have a perfectly good Mongrel for sale, and somebody wants this drastically incomplete project. Sheesh. ::)

Looks like I might have a decision to make. :p

Re: "Drewski's h1a/750"

Well, I didn't sell it. ::) But, I ended up using some (o'k, a lot!) of the bits for this one on the GPz/kz550 Trackbike. :D

Soooo... the h1a/750 sank to the bottom of page 14! Yikes!! And, now that I have WAY more to do, just trying to keep up with things, I figure we should drag this back into the 'light of day' and finally git 'er dun! ;D

Back to square 1:

This was always gonna be a 'parts bin' custom. I just have to find some 'new' bits to replace the 'old bits' used on other Projects. :D

Those of you who're REALLY sharp, might have noticed in the "Post a pic of your latest purchase" thread I recently 'picked up' another h2 parts bike. THIS is where we begin to breathe new life into a nearly dead Project! :D

The rear wheel you see on the beginnings of a rolling chassis actually came off my old kz1000. It's been kicking around the shop ever since 2006 when THAT project got going. Gonna need to adapt it because of the rear disc, but it'll serve this project nicely. 8)

And so we begin.

Again.

:)
