Re: "Drewski's h1a/750"

Say, if you're putting a H2 engine in a H1 frame, won't that make the bike nose heavy? Could the thing spit you off if you hit the front brake hard, you know, rotate around the front wheel? You might need some lead ballast hanging off the back of the expansion chambers!!

Hey Kemp!! :D

There's a lot of "h2" on this "h1"! The front end, wheels, swing arm and engine are off h2's or kz1000's! The only thing left of the h1 is the frame and body work! The frame is a little smaller and lighter, but we've beefed it up with gussets and bracing, so i don't think there's much to be concerned about.

As far as overall dimensions go, the wheelbase might be a tad longer than a h1, due to a slightly longer swing arm.

This one's not a lightweight! If anything, we've over-built in the interest of safety, and because it's what I had laying around. :D We could work on lightening it up after we get it rolling this year. We'll see! ;)

Beyond all that, I think my "lead butt" will keep the back end solidly planted on the tarmac my friend! ;D

That's a 400 motor, or at least top end. In that bike Jorgen. Still a sweet bike, I'd love to have those tins on mine.

Re: "Drewski's h1a/750"

Its a completly stock 1972 s2 350.
In my search to night i have found some LC`s 250/350 with full or non fairing for half the price of this one,but i love the 70´s smokers.

Re: "Drewski's h1a/750"

I`ve heard that kh 400 and s2 was the "same" bike in the euro market with smaller carbs and choked pipes, but i am not sure ???

"Drewski's h1a/750"

I'm not a Historian but I believe it was 350 in 72-73 400 74-78 (in Canada)
The 400 motor has the squared off fins, the 350 is more rounded like the H series.
