Enduro GR- break her down for parts.......

Re: Dirty GR- back end all together

Yeah, the stock pipes are a 2-2 but with a crossover directly behind the motor. Unfortunately, my crossover rotted away. I was running a 2-2 for a couple years after that.

If I didn't need/want the ground clearance, I would get another 2-1 MAC system like whats on the other GR.

C'mon Rich, you know you want to!!!

Re: Dirty GR- back end all together

You know Pete, the gs 450 pipes bolt right up to the GR head.......so if you want to send them stateside, I would appreciate it! ;D

Honestly, I would love too. Maybe later down the road? There is some other stuff that I would like to get done, then maybe return to the exhaust.......

Hahahaha nice try Rich ;)

Mind you I have some "lightly used" stock 450 pipes here... the left one's already been converted to a "free flowing" system.... hahahaahaa

Re: Dirty GR- back end all together

Picked up the bike a couple days ago and couldn't leave it alone. The seat will be done and delivered in a couple days, but the front fender was bugging me.......

Hacked off the entire rear section and about half of the front. To save me from searching for a pic of the whole thing, it's on page 12. Once I order spokes for the other GR I'll be swapping out the rear 16" on this for an 18". And I will post pics of the seat when it gets here.

Re: Dirty GR- back end all together

Looks adventureish like a KLR or DR,since it's a Zuki.

Re: Dirty GR- back end all together

That looks much better Rich! Looking forward to seeing the seat done... that's my next major challenge actually...

Re: Dirty GR- back end all together

Thanks fellas. I had the bike on the trailer on the highway and kept looking back & thinking "I really hope that fender doesn't rip off". Ben, I saw a cut down fender in that thread you showed me and liked it. And you guys know I'm all about cutting stuff up.......

And honestly, I gave Jim a pretty good challenge with the seat IMO. He had to extend the foam and the vinyl without the actual seat pan underneath.

Re: Dirty GR- seat is done.

Jim from Alchemy Upholstery in Pitt rode this down last night. After wings at the local dive we got it on the frame but I wanted to wait til this morning to get pics of it. And before anybody points it out, the headlight is just dangling, airbox and exhaust isn't mounted etc.

After about 5 minutes and four bolts:

Re: Dirty GR- seat is done.

Sounds like a plan gents. As long as I ca get it safe and legal, I would ride it. Best part about the seat/tank shape: I can lay down on it and my chin is on the gas cap!

Are you planning to nap on your bike? ;D

Looks comfy! That back tire might be a little sketchy on pavement though...?

All part of the winter plan Swaps. The other GR has a steel 18" hoop in the rear, but I have a DID 18" I am going to lace up. Then take that steel one and lace it to this one's hub. Come spring time, I'll have matching Kenda's front and rear as well.

Although I have only sat on the bike, it is pretty comfy. And yes, I may just take a nap on the bike if the situation arises!

Re: Dirty GR- seat is done.

I think I am going to run a dual sport tire on my "Resto to Running" project.Something geared more for the street, but will allow me to run the 30 to 50 miles of dirt roads I have to travel, when I take my cross country trip next year.

Kenda 761 on Rich's rocket.
