Feedback needed: Tachometer, Speedometer, or Both?

XS650 - Brat/Cafe-ish build. I like clean trees. Used to running neither on my old scoot. Would like to know revs, but thought I would get feedback before I bought a speedo delete.

What say you?

Go for hidden option number five and buy a custom made decal with shifting points. I designed this one for my own bike that indicates when I redline each gear.

Matt, That's how bikes used to be. I had a Triumph and a Honda that were marked in similar styles

The starting point to the question is what does the law require in your state. A speedo is usually required and it's certainly useful to know how fast you are going to avoid Mr Plod. Tacho is necessary if you are running to the red line but on the street it's really more of a distraction. Nice to have but not always necessary.

I'd like EGT for all 3 cylinders, WEGO in each pipe, CHT, Revs, Throttle position, speed, air & water temps, shift light and data logging in a small package that's easy to read. Not physically possible but nonetheless, it would be useful at the track for set up.

Why not go with option 7 - Trail-Tech or Acewell small electronic instruments?

Trailtech Vapor is what I'm hoping to get before the year is out. I'm getting the head temp sensors added in, too.
