Name is John
Professional student and musician in Louisiana
Always wanted to own a cafe racer or bobber, and I finally got a 1982 KZ305-b for $200 in running condition. Just starting to get my hands dirty in the world of engines and all that with my Volvo wagon, and now I want to finally get started on the bike end of the deal. I have no clue what I'm doing and you can expect a number of posts from me with questions about things.
I bought it with flat bars already installed, which is what I was already planning on installing.
So far, since the last of the parts I want to replace (tach cable, battery, gas line) are on order I have begun stripping and repainting the bike - Metallic Charcoal on the tank and two panels, trashing most of the frilly chrome stuff (rack, chrome panels), probably a metallic red on the frame, and possibly black and red wheels.
