You should be able to find them at any well-stocked hardware store...Tim said:Well, with any luck I'll find some in our recently introduced Lowes up here in Canada. Otherwise, I might have to ask a favor!
Nah, these are zinc plated steel, but I'm sure you can find stainless clamps at McMaster-Carr or some place like D&D Aircraft Supply.Don't suppose they're stainless?
Tim said:Many vintage race bikes I've seen use a sheet of plastic zip-tied in place as an inner fender to keep crud/water etc. out of the carbs. I'm likely going to do an aluminum plate, as I think I might need an inner fender for safety.
Cushioned Metal Loop Clamps. McMaster does indeed carry stainless steel versions in different sizes, the Sure-Grip brand.Tim said:Offhand, what are they called?
Adel Wiggins is the name of one company that manufactures loop clamps, lots of companies make them. It's sorta become a generic term, like saying you're going to get a coke but get a root beer instead.tobiism said:They are officially called Adel Clamps.
Thanks!The bike is looking great!
