That Hotwings Glass seat looks so good on the early GL's. Gotta love these full figured Gals! Gonna keep an eye on this one.
Just remembered, I am 99% sure I have a GL1100 cam, I know it fits, as the early 1000 cams were a hotter grind and it is a common swap in an 1100. I believe the later 1000's like yours had the same profiles as mine but I am not positive. Do some checking and let me know if you need it.
Maritime said:Wow Troy been followign on FB as you know, that was the only reason I was checking. Glad you are putting it here now. That totally sucks on the cam, I know how you feel, the day I broke my stator bolt inside my shaft :-( at least you have a backup engine to get you riding. This bike is really shaping up. Nice to know I won't be the only one on a full figured girl at the GTG's. As for the screen, good idea to get something, Your ergos look almost exactly like mine. I find any rides up to about an hour are fine, after that the screen, which is not that big, just helps take enough wind off while riding to be able to pull 8-10 hours with less fatigue, I do however have wrist pain by then end of a trip that long, but the bars lowered makes so much improvement in handling I will take some asprins and deal with it.
Cheers, Looking forward to the end result. Glad you got the seat to cause I would not have had the resourses to mod the frame and it would not have looked that good on my girl.
